Deejay Prince – Mambo Badd Msee – (born Eugine Raphael O. in Nairobi – Kenya) belongs to the top Urban/Dancehall DJ’s in East-Africa. He has rocked almost every club and venue in Nairobi – Kenya, Dar esalaam – Tanzania and Dubai. He is soon taking his crowd-rocking skills for a U.S Tour as well.
Undoubtedly one of Nairobi’s fast rising stars, Deejay Prince is attracting a large following with his radio shows and on-line mixes. Professionally he has been a dj for 6 years, he played at Nairobi’s popular youth radio station Ghetto Radio 89.5 fm and is one of their presenters who kept attracting a large following, evident on his Social media every week, during his Friday Night Live shows. His other shows, Gospel Night live & Rewind Thursdays were also a big success.
However, the story of Dj Prince predates the year 2009. It all started out as a hobby and a way of relaxing after long hours of school work. When he completed his course in Information Technology (I.T.) and started to work as an IT solutions Engineer, slowly, time became limited due to the demanding nature of his work. Eventually he had no time at all to Dj. In 2009 he fell out of main stream I.T employment and decided to take personal IT jobs on his own. Slowly he managed his time back and engaged in a few events in the Clubs & commercial road-shows as well. In late 2009 he made the grand decision to go PRO in the Kenyan Entertainment Industry. In October of 2010, he joined Ghetto Radio as the first in-house Deejay and a few months later he was taken in by This Is Africa, as one of their Deejays representing the Eastern Africa region.
Today, be it Hip-hop/ R&B (Urban), Pan-African music/ Afro Pop, Soca, Dance hall, Reggae ; Dj Prince rocks it all. It doesn’t matter what size club, race, age, religion, sexuality or color, when Dj Prince is on the decks, everybody will have one common interest: DANCE TILL YOU DROP!
